For decades, conventional earbuds has relied on pressure, friction and insertion. That assumption created fatigue, constant adjustment, and removal rituals people learned to accept as normal. We started from the body instead.
By hour three it was always the same. Pressure, then the ache, then the sound going thin as sweat broke the seal.
Out. Back in. Out again an hour later.
It took Serge a long time to notice that none of this was normal. It was just common.
He tried bone conduction next. The hooks pressed on his skull, slid when he moved, and came off by evening anyway.
Same problem. Different shape.
Every product in the category is built to clamp onto a head. So we stopped designing for the head, and started asking what skin would accept.
Answering that took longer than building the obvious version would have. We think it was the right trade.
For a long time this has been something we could only describe. Soon it is something we can put in your hands, and we have been waiting for that longer than you have.
We design systems light enough to disappear into daily life, built on materials already used on skin in healthcare. Nothing we make should need a break.
Anything that stays on skin for days gets held to medical-adhesive standards. That’s not a feature. It’s the floor.
We intend a long service life, with a battery replacement program and public repair documentation. None of that exists yet. The terms go up before the first unit ships.
If your body rejects it after 2 hours, it’s not working. Biology defines constraints, not marketing.
We publish what we test, including the results that don’t flatter us. Today that list is short, because we haven’t shipped.
Canal insertion isn’t inevitable. Disposable earbuds aren’t inevitable. We challenge industry norms.
Sealing you off is the easy way to make audio sound impressive. We would rather you hear the song and the person in front of you, so the canal stays open by design.
