StéBuds don’t go in your ear. They rest on the skin behind it and send sound through bone. It’s different enough from an earbud that it needed its own name: body-integrated audio.

Hear your music. Hear your world. Never choose again.
Medical-grade hydrogel holds them against the skin. No clamping, no wedging, no pressure points.
No slipping, no readjusting, and no taking them out for a break. There is nothing pressing on you to get away from.
Adhesion holds better than friction once you start moving. Built to meet IPX7 water-resistance standards.

Zero pressure → nothing to adjust
Canal stays open → you still hear the room
No breaks → all-day wear
Bone conduction → no seal, no ear fatigue

That is the reputation the category earned. Most bone conduction headphones clamp a rigid band against your skull, which costs them low end and leaks sound to whoever is standing next to you. StéBuds sit flat on the skin behind the ear, held by hydrogel, so the contact is broader and steadier without the clamping force. Measurements go on this page before the first unit ships.
It is a hydrogel from the same family used in continuous-wear medical sensors, chosen because it holds for hours and comes off without tearing skin. Skin is individual, so the biocompatibility testing and the full material list will be published here before anything ships.
They sit on the flat of skin behind the ear, not in the canal and not over it, so the arms of glasses and most hearing aids keep their own space. Water and sweat resistance is in testing, and the rating will be listed here once it is certified.
The buds, the hydrogel they hold on with, and the small things that keep both working. The first production run covers all four.
White polymer case
Sound through bone, held by hydrogel. Nothing sits in the canal, so there is nothing to adjust, reinsert, or take a break from.
Skin-safe refill tape
Medical-grade adhesion. The same class of on-skin hydrogel used in continuous healthcare wearables.
Microfiber, adhesive remover, storage
Two minutes a week keeps the hydrogel gripping the way it did on day one. That is the whole maintenance routine.
Recycled leather, magnetic close
A case that shuts with a magnet and opens flat, so the buds and a strip of tape travel together instead of loose in a pocket.
